  • Organic cotton is grown without GMO seeds
  • Organic cotton reduces the toxicity of a cotton garment by more than 90%

What Is Polyester

  • It is a fiber made from petro-chemical products
  • It uses large amounts of water in its production process
  • It takes a lot of energy to make virgin polyester

Why Recycled Is Better

  • It’s made using recycled bottles keeping bottles & waste out of landfills
  • It takes up to 50% less energy to produce compared with regular polyester
  • It produces 50% less CO2 emissions than regular polyester

Plastic bottles are picked up & shipped overseas to be sorted by type & color

After sorting, the labels & caps are removed. The bottles are then washed, crushed & chopped into plastic flake

The plastic is then dried, melted down & pushed through a sive to create long strands of plastic thread

The thread is then heated & stretched to bond the fibers together

The fibers are torn apart to create plastic fluff which is the raw substance used to create polyester & finished yarn

Why we use lenzing modal®:

  • It’s made from beech tree pulp
  • The beech trees are never cut down…instead they are trimmed to harvest the fiber
  • The beech trees rejuvenate themselves without any artificial irrigation or planting
  • 95% of the production materials to make the yarn are recovered & reused
  • It is a CO2 neutral fiber
  • It is an incredibly soft fiber
