Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is the world's largest independent certification program mainly focused on the apparel, footwear, and sewn products sectors. The WRAP Principles are based on generally accepted international workplace standards, local laws and workplace regulations which encompass human resources management, health and safety, environmental practices, and legal compliance including import/export and customs compliance and security standards.
The Sustainable Apparel Coalition is the apparel, footwear and home textile industry’s foremost alliance for sustainable production. The Coalition’s main focus is on building the Higg Index, a standardized supply chain measurement tool for all industry participants to understand the environmental and social and labor impacts of making and selling their products and services.
A 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, Fair Trade USA is the leading third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States. Instead of creating dependency on aid, the organization uses a market-based approach that gives farmers fair prices, workers safe conditions, and entire communities resources for fair, healthy and sustainable lives. In July 2015, Threads 4 Thought released its first ever Wildlife Works Carbon Neutral, Fair Trade tees that protect wildlife and forests in Kenya. Threads 4 Thought will be contributing over $6,000 in Fair Trade Premiums directly to Wildlife Works factory workers. This collection is also made with Fair Trade Certified cotton jersey to cover the entire supply chain.
