Rock the Vote
Rock the Vote's mission is to engage and build political power for young people in our country.
Founded more than twenty years ago at the intersection of popular culture and politics, Rock the Vote is growing its team and its campaigns in 2011, to support the tidal wave of young people who want to get involved in elections and seize the power of the youth vote to create political and social change.
Over the last two decades, Rock the Vote has registered more young people to vote than any other organization or campaign. We have used music, popular culture, new technologies and grassroots organizing to engage and mobilize young people to participate in every election. By providing them with the information and tools they need, Rock the Vote has registered more than 5 million young people, including more than 2.5 million in the historic 2008 election. In 2010, Rock the Vote logged more than 300,000 voter registration downloads as part of the largest midterm elections outreach strategy in our organization's history. We intend to register and turn out millions more in years to come, and to be the best-informed place online where young people can find out what they need to know before casting a ballot.
Millions of new voters between the ages of 18 – 29 cast ballots in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 – and they will again in 2012 and beyond. Rock the Vote is dedicated to building the political power and clout of the Millennial Generation by registering and turning out young people, by forcing the candidates to campaign to them, and by making politicians pay attention to youth and the issues they care about once in office.

Healthy Child Healthy World
Healthy Child Healthy World began after five-year-old Colette Chuda died of a rare form of non-hereditary cancer linked to environmental factors; her parents, Jim and Nancy Chuda, turned their grief into action and formed Healthy Child Healthy World (formerly the Children's Health Environmental Coalition) in 1992.
Today, millions of America's children face a historically unprecedented rise in chronic disease and illness such as cancer, autism, asthma, birth defects, and learning disabilities. Credible scientific evidence increasingly points to contaminants in our environment and chemicals in everyday products as causing and contributing to many of these diseases.
Playing a leadership role in one of the most important public health and environmental movements of the 21st century, Healthy Child Healthy World, a national 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, ignites the movement that empowers parents to protect children from harmful chemicals.

Voices of Uganda
For the past three years, the Voices of Uganda team here in the United States has participated in advocacy events, rallies, civic presentations, walk-a- thons, lobbying activities on Capitol Hill and meetings with senators and members of Congress to help bring attention to this crisis. They use a combination of public speaking, screenings of the documentary footage, live dramatic performances, and opportunities for audiences to take action to support peace in northern Uganda. With your help, the Voices team will continue and expand its unique hybrid of dramatic performance and documentary storytelling.
The youth in Uganda have been sharing what they learned through the Voices program with other young people in Uganda. They have been using a curriculum created by the Voices team to teach other young people how they too can use their voices to educate, inspire and create positive change. In addition, they have been touring the plays they created during the Voices program, educating people in other camps and villages.
